Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses a genuine passion for cosmetic surgery and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-operative, intra-procedural and post-operative care to patients undergoing awake minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures.
- Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures including sterile field setup.
- Educate patients and support them throughout their journey, in the preoperative, intraoperative, immediate and late postoperative setting including communicating effectively with patient care consultants.
- Monitor patients for potential complications and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Perform stock-keeping on surgical supplies, and order supplies from distributors.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cosmetic surgery and nursing best practices.
- Assume other responsibilities as determined by the Practice Manager and Medical Director.
- Stay in compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Illinois nursing license (both RN and LPN licenses are considered).
- Minimum of 2 years experience in surgical nursing, preferably in cosmetic or plastic surgery settings.
- Exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours including overtime, including occasional weekends.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
- Authorization to work without restrictions in the United States.
